Part 2: Scholar Joseph Atwill joins the program to discuss the historical records of the gospels and the writings of historian Josephus. He believes, based on these records and those of the Dead Sea Scrolls, that the Roman Caesar, Titus Flavian, altered the Messianic Jewish movement to a religion called Christianity where the people could be controlled and the Roman rulers would be worshiped. In college he studied computer science, and was co-founder of a series of software companies including Ferguson Tool Company and ASNA. After 1995, he returned to Biblical studies. Working with Robert Eisenman, he authored a paper on radiocarbon dating of the Dead Sea Scrolls. In 2014, Atwill also published , Shakespeare's Secret Messiah.
