A degree in journalism from University of Oregon led her to work in the trade before pursuing her art career which expanded to painting anything that didn’t move, gallery curator of two different galleries, teaching cooking classes, gardening & landscape design, and interior color & design. While raising a family, her years of community involvement included establishing recycling and energy conservation programs before it was popularized; protesting the Trojan Nuclear Power Plant; serving on several Boards, one to assess and include Black History education in the Portland Public Schools; addressing and improving handwriting in the Portland Public Schools; a campaign to keep toxic fluoride out of Portland’s pristine water supply; assisting friends and neighbors where needed; and now making a significant difference at this critical time in our history by challenging our current essential and corrupted government structures and co-developing the Oregon Statewide Jural Assembly.
