Many couple's don't discuss or feel the need to have boundaries in their marriage. They feel that boundaries take away freedom, or that they would only be needed due to a lack of trust in the relationship. Nothing could be further from the truth. Couple's that haven't discussed or agreed to certain boundaries in their marriage are much more likely to do something (even unintentionally) that could cause distrust or issues at some point in their marriage. Couples that have boundaries are much more likely to have MORE freedom and trust in their marriages and less problems as they have communicated and set boundaries in their relationship.
