Whether you have a big family or several birthdays in one season, elaborate celebrations and gifts can quickly turn something meant for joy into a burden and a chore. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good party with themed decor, food, the works, but I don’t feel the need to pull out all the stops with every celebration, especially when my kids were little.
