Author of “The Coffee Bean,” Damon has positively impacted thousands of people after his life was changed while in prison. The episode opens up with us diving into Damon’s early life. A football QB, Damon found himself addicted to drugs. While in some trouble with the law due to a criminal organization he was behind, his life was unraveling. We ask Damon about his life at the time and what went through his mind while hitting rock bottom. We turn the episode over to talk about his prison sentence. After a brief jury deliberation, he found himself facing nearly 70 years in prison. During his time, he met a man named Mr. Jackson. Mr. Jackson told him a story about a carrot, an egg, and a coffee bean. From this point forward, Damon had a new outlook on life. He explains what this felt to him and how he was able to successfully be released from prison after a shortened sentence.
