This is a good one…a really, really good one. With Fall in the air, not only is golf still at the forefront, but basketball season is right around the corner. We are kicking it off with this episode and our guest, Cameron Johnson, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets. We open up the episode and talk about his upbringing in the Pittsburgh area. Playing in the WPIAL opened a lot of doors for Cam, and sure enough, he found himself at the University of Pittsburgh playing D-1 basketball for the Panthers. After three years at Pitt, he left and joined UNC Tarheels for his remaining years of eligibility. He tells us what other schools he was considering and what playing for UNC was like, especially during the rivalry games with Duke. Cam opens up and tells us what it was like playing at Duke during their Senior Night…the story is so good. We turn the page over to life currently and his time in the NBA. Drafted in the 1st round of the 2019 NBA Draft, he was traded to Phoenix and spent some time with the Suns. Recently, Cam inked a multiyear deal with the Brooklyn Nets and talks a little bit about his life in the NBA. The fun starts when we start talking golf with Cam. New to the game, he is now an addict like us all. He’s got some goals to get his game up to par and gives us a look at how many thoughts are in his head when swingin’ the club.
