About this episode
Jason and Frank are back with a fresh edition of The DFO Rundown to get you through your Thursday. To start off today’s podcast, the guys looked at all the coaching news that’s gone down over the last couple of days. Jim Hiller is staying put in Los Angeles as the Kings announced that they’ll be removing the interim tag from his title. What does that mean for the future of the Kings? They discussed. Sheldon Keefe was not a free agent for long. He’s now officially been announced as the new Head Coach of the New Jersey Devils. Is he the right man to lead the Devils back to the playoffs? From there, they got into the two Conference Finals. They started out in the Eastern Conference where Sergei Bobrovsky pitched a shutout in Game 1 as the Panthers took the series opener. They debated whether or not the Panther's speed and physicality would be too much for the Rangers. They then went into the Western Conference where the Oilers and Stars are getting set for Game 1 out in Texas. There are a couple of big injury situations for either team that will have impacts on this series, most notably Roope Hintz. They talked about that and some other key battle grounds in that series. 1:45 - Sheldon Keefe Hired by Devils 7:20 - Jim Hiller Hired by the L.A.
