Frank and Jason are back with a fresh edition of The DFO Rundown as the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs continue to heat up. This is just the sixth time in NHL history that all four Round 2 series will go to six games or later. They started out in the Colorado vs Dallas series where the Avalanche picked up a massive win on Wednesday night to keep their season alive. Now, they’re heading back to home ice for Game 6. Can they push the Stars to a seventh game? That led to some talk about Valeri Nichuskin and his future. It was announced that he’s going into the third phase of the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program, which comes with a six-month suspension. Will Nichuskin ever be back with the Avs? Frank and Jason talked about that. From there, they went into the series between the Bruins and Panthers where Jeremy Swayman has been outstanding for the Bruins. Speaking of goaltending, that’s the big storyline out West as both the Oilers and Canucks could have some crease drama brewing.
