Jason and Frank are back with another fresh episode of the pod and considering the amount of news that’s broken over the last 72 hours, there was a lot for them to get to. After talking about some teams on streaks right now, they dug into Patrick Kane’s decision to join the Detroit Red Wings. There were plenty of suitors, including the Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers, but the man they call “Showtime” is deciding to take his talents to “Hockeytown”. Why did this make sense for both Kane and Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman? Frank gave us some insight into the process and Jason talked about whether or not this makes the Red Wings a legit competitor. From there, they talked about the latest in the Corey Perry situation. His contract has now been terminated, but does that mean his NHL career is done? Frank gave us some additional background info about what’s been happening and discussed what could be coming next. Tyler popped in for a new edition of Fill in the Blank where he talked with the guys about the coaching change in Minnesota and more.
