What not to do: Repeat the command Grab the object from the puppy’s mouth What to do: Say the words “drop-it” after puppy has an object in their mouth that you don’t want them to have Wait for puppy to let it go, do not force this step, be patient Reward them with a high value food reward after they drop it.
