About this episode
I am often asked what the best part was of announcing in the NBA for 32 years. I always answer the same way. Friendships and the people you meet along the journey. On today's episode I talk about 24 hours beginning last night with Denver's title against the Heat and what may be a championship for the Vegas Golden Knights tonight! I am thrilled for Michael Malone and share some stories of when he was coaching in Sacramento. Tonight, one of my closest friends, George McPhee has a chance to win his first Stanley Cup after being involved with the league for 41 years as both player and front office manager. George is the President of Hockey Operations for the Knights, and this is his 4th time in the finals during his long career. I talk about our friendship that began at Bowling Green State University in 1978. I share many stories over the many decades and seeing him hoist the Cup will be beyond words for me. 24 hours and so happy for the people who I've met along the way! Learn more about your ad choices.
