Last night the Sacramento Republic beat Sporting KC to advance to the finals of the US Open Cup. The Republic are the first non MLS team to reach the finals since 2008. And after watching the amazing atmosphere on the pitch in Sactown, let us not forget Ron Burkle who let the entire community down when he backed out of a deal at the last minute to that prevented Sacramento from having an MLS franchise.
