About this episode
Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas has generated a lot of controversy as a top swimmer Penn's women's team. On today's show I try and prevent both side of the controversy. I start off reading some excerpts from the Independent. Their story feels Thomas does not have an unfair advantage. Former Olympic champion, and transgender woman Caitlyn Jenner has been very critical of Thomas. I discuss that and get into common sense as it relates to this. Is this about common sense, or is it about science? Maybe a little of both? I read what I thought was an excellent column by Phil Mushnick of the New York Post regarding common sense on this issue. One thing is for certain...this issue isn't going away. There needs to be a balance that everyone can agree on when it comes to fair competition in sports. Learn more about your ad choices.
