About Vahen King: Vahen King is an author, speaker, and founder of a non-profit charity called "Going Farther.org." In 2017 Vahen was crowned the first-ever Miss Wheelchair Canada and went on to win the title of Miss Kindness World. Not only her beauty but her character has won her awards. Vahen's courage is contagious, transparently she shares about her own abilities and self-worth. Vahen's compelling experiences set the stage for her ultimate call to action, to encourage others to lean into discomfort, ditch our "I can't" mentalities, and choose courage to overcome your own emotional and physical challenges. Vahen lives with her prince charming, in Edmonton Alberta, and acknowledges that she is just a confidently imperfect girl, seizing every opportunity to inspire and empower others to GO FARTHER. What We Discuss In This Episode: In this episode, Vahen vulnerably shares the story of her late-onset disability which left her in a wheelchair. She openly shares how she overcame this disability so that today she can live a life that takes her out of that place of discomfort to a place of courage and transparency. We discuss how she overcame what some would consider to be her set-back in life so that she could turn it into a positive outcome, and go on to be that contagious courage for others. She shares some tips on her daily routines and her practices to continue down that path to enlightenment and joy, where she can live in peace, and help others to pick themselves up and live a joyous and courageous life despite their circumstances.
