With the 2024 Paris Olympics in full swing, we take an inside look into the life and career so far of Cody Simpson as we get a closer look into his career both in the pool and on the stage as he chases his childhood dreams and makes them a reality. As we take you on a journey beginning with Cody's upbringing on the sunny Gold Coast of Australia where he first learnt to surf and swim before a cover version of a Jason Mraz classic that Cody uploaded to YouTube would catapult him to stardom sending him to the USA to sign a record deal. We discover what it was like for Cody as a 12 year old thrust into the spotlight and how he dealt with fame at such a young age as Cody overtime built up the courage to become an independent artist, calling his own shots as he moved away from the bubble gum pop tunes he became renowned for and took on a style that represented who he was and what he wanted to sing about. As Cody would then take one last shot at his childhood dreams of representing Australia, winning gold and qualifying for an Olympics putting his music on hold to train full time as a professional swimmer for almost 4 years.
