Many people have kept backyard gardens over the years both for hobby and to provide their own food supplies. During the World Wars, people were even encouraged to grow Victory Gardens by the government to lessen their reliance on the general food supply. But should the government be involved in monitoring backyard gardens? What is the People's Garden Initiative & it is similar to wartime Victory Gardens?
