On August 20, 2010, 30-year-old Ben McDaniel attempted one of the most dangerous underwater cave dives in the United States--a cave called "The Vortex" in Ponce De Leon, Florida. Underwater witnesses saw him entering the cave, though when he never resurfaced, authorities believed his body would be recovered in the cave.
