Jeff Mans is fired up this week after the news that Lane Kiffin is fleeing Ole Miss to become the new head coach at LSU. Many people do not fully realize just how regulated college football is and are missing the bigger picture on why a coach like Kiffin felt he had to take the LSU job despite having to abandon his current players, coaches, and supporters at Ole Miss. Yes, there is plenty of NFL and fantasy football talk this week too, as Mans recaps a wild Thanksgiving week, counts down the top 10 waiver wire pickups, and speculates on which NFL teams will fire their coach at the end of this season. He even offers up some of his best available head coaching candidates for 2026. His Chicago Bears find themselves as the #1 seed in the NFC right now, so how high have they climbed in his latest power rankings? This week, Jeff Mans dives into a topic that gets little to no attention early on, and that is defensive matchups. Even though it’s only been three weeks, there are several defenses across the NFL that have identified themselves as being either very good or very poor against the run or pass. The earlier we identify this, the sooner we can make better matchup decisions in fantasy football. Speaking of defenses, you will not believe who the highest scoring DSTs are in fantasy football right now. Jeff goes over the list and wonders why any leagues are still using this archaic position in 2025. Week three has also brought us a ton of injured players. Jeff goes over the injury list for week four and discusses the timeline for each player and who we can count on to replace them during that span. As always, Mans gives out his top 10 waiver wire pickups of the week and even a few tips on getting ahead of the bye weeks that start in week five. Assuming you survived the Green Bay loss last week, Mans also has his survivor contest play and gives out another Thursday Night Football bet this time for the Seahawks and Cardinals. One that he calls the “perfect draft,” in which, if everything falls perfectly, that is the optimal team. Then he takes the All-Mans Team, which is comprised of players he likes most at those given spots. This week, he also discusses his recent road trip to Las Vegas, the Circa Survivor and Millions contests, and some NFL training camp news. Just in case the show has been too “friendly” lately, Mans also whips through a few “hot button” stories in pop culture right now and gives his quick opinions to stir the pot. It’s the episode we’ve all been waiting for, where Jeff Mans reveals the secret code name player of this fantasy football season. Mans takes us through the history of how an off-the-cuff gimmick became one of the most anticipated announcements of the NFL calendar year. He reflects on previous years’ decisions and how those results shaped this year’s player. He also discusses why Julius Pepperwood is the perfect code name for this year's player. Then we take a journey through this player’s five-year NFL career and look at all the numbers he has generated going into 2025. Jeff reveals how offseason events have lined up to position this player for a big fantasy season. He takes a look at the current ADP and then uses historical data to show how Pepperwood will easily outproduce that low draft spot. Once this episode goes public, the draft stock is going to rise, but that is all baked into his projection for this season. Remember that from here on out, we do not speak the NFL player’s name and instead call him by his new moniker, “Julius Pepperwood,” at least until our fantasy drafts are done this year. It is that time of year again when Jeff Mans takes all his offseason work and “puts it on tape” for one team that is going to be the biggest surprise of the NFL and fantasy football season. After a recap of his previous five years of surprise teams, he breaks down the small list of teams that didn’t quite make the cut for 2025 but are worth keeping an eye on. Finally, he announces the team he is backing in 2025 and breaks down the multitude of reasons, starting with ownership, the front office, a growing analytics department, a revamped coaching staff, and a roster full of plus players at nearly every single position. This episode is full of data points that will support this year’s selection and surprise many listeners in the process. This is also the first time that a team has gotten appreciably better simply by losing a couple of notable key players and coaches. If you want your fantasy and betting season to take off in 2025, do the smart thing: Jump on the Jets.

Jeff Mans is back with an episode almost entirely devoted to something few basic fantasy football players think about: Draft Position. Suppose you have ever wondered what the best draft pick position to select from in your fantasy drafts is; then this is the episode for you. First, Jeff takes us through the first two rounds of selections according to average draft position (ADP) and asks which player pairings are the best. Next, he reveals his updated rankings from Fantasy Guru dot com and looks at which player pairings are the best in his own mind. These results will surprise you, but also make sense once you look at the names that are on the board at the time of those selections. Mans also has some choice words for Fanduel, which has changed their terms and conditions after Fantasy Guru members and other MLB bettors took them for over $2 million in one night of betting this week. This week’s episode is stacked with the latest from around the NFL and fantasy football. Jeff Mans begins with some news around NFL minicamps, including a new running back in New Orleans, the Bengals restarting contract talks with sack leader Trey Hendrickson, and a trial date for Vikings WR Jordan Addison. This conversation weaves into a ton of information about the new offenses in Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Seattle, and Jacksonville. There is even a lesser-known soap opera that played out in Houston last season, right in front of all our eyes, that nobody ever knew until the offseason firings happened. Then there is a deep dive on two incredibly similar wide receivers who are near carbon copies of one another, yet one is going in the fifth round while the other is in or around round eight. Jeff Mans is live on tape from the beach house, and not even a good ole-fashioned family vacation can stop him from taking care of the One Mans Opinion Listeners this week. Jeff is in full dynasty fantasy football mode as he discusses a few of his current drafts, including a startup dynasty draft that he had to go way against the grain to build his squad. In that spirit, Mans counts down his top 10 best rookie draft pick values right now, according to the latest rookie ADP prices. He also looks at some of the upcoming 2026 NFL free agents at QB, RB, WR, and TE and discusses how we can plan accordingly in our dynasty leagues. Our all-time best rookie season series takes us to the wide receiver position this week, where we uncover that the best rookie WR of the last 25 years wasn’t even the #1 or #2 pick in his rookie draft that year (per ADP). Mans reveals all the best and worst rookie receivers here. Remember to share the show with a friend, hit the like, favorite, heart, thumbs up, subscribe, and comment button for this episode!

The 2025 NFL schedule was released last week, and Jeff Mans has a few thoughts pertaining to this year and the future of the NFL regular season, pertaining to fantasy football, to begin the show this week. Mans also sounds off on the ongoing Ryan Clark and RGIII feud, which, in his opinion, is nothing more than an extension of the WNBA broadcast race-baiting that is running wild. Jeff has some very specific advice for drafting running backs in 2025: When you think you have enough depth on your squad, keep building. Then he launches into why he expects this year’s rookie RB class to make a huge impact on the fantasy game and backs it up with the last 25 years of analysis. He reveals the best rookie RB seasons ever, the best rookie classes ever, and the pattern in which rookie runners get the most and least opportunities. The NBA Draft Lottery has Jeff Mans hot and bothered this week, and he reviews the last forty years of lotteries and uncovers that the “1% chance happenings” actually occur about 27.5% of the time in the NBA. The rest of this week’s episode is spent on the NFL rookie class as Mans opens up his rookie OTA notebook and reveals some initial impressions on players like Cam Ward, Jaylin Noel, RJ Harvey, Luther Burden, Mason Taylor, Travis Hunter, and more. He also discusses the retirement of Derek Carr, the way Carr and the Saints organization handled it, and how many others in sports should be involved. After deep diving into the best rookie seasons in NFL history, Mans decided to portion out his findings into the next few episodes, beginning with the quarterback this week. Jeff reveals the best seasons by a quarterback over the last 25 years, breaks down where they fit from a fantasy football perspective, and how each quarterback fared the following season. This data screams at how we should be drafting quarterbacks in fantasy football, and Mans make those connections for 2025 here. Now that the 2025 NFL Draft has concluded, we can put all the incoming rookies together and rank them for our fantasy football purposes. Jeff Mans goes over his rookie rankings position by position and reveals the players he is higher and lower on than most other players. Jeff also discusses the importance of remaining true to your convictions and reminds us that in fantasy sports, DFS, and sports betting, we are competing against other people to get the results that we want. So, it does not make much sense to try to play the same game as our competitors. Although it is a thin QB class, there is one later-round quarterback that could wind up being the best of the group. At RB, Mans cannot believe that Sean Payton’s selection to lead his Broncos is not getting more attention in fantasy football. He ponders what Jaguars WR Travis Hunter’s value is as “only” a receiver and whether he is being over-drafted because of his name and draft stock. Jeff pleads not to go all in on another tight end despite a pair of them being drafted high this season. Remember to check out FantasyGuru.com for all of Jeff Mans' rankings and projections. The second episode this week is all about grading all 257 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and assigning each team a grade for the job well or not so well done. Jeff Mans uses his prospect formula that you’ve heard the past few weeks to assign values to the best #1 overall picks and the best & worst values of the last five years, to grade all 32 NFL teams' picks this year. Not only does he review the collection of each team's picks, but Mans also goes through the board and tells us which picks were the best and worst values at the time of selection. He also breaks down the draft picks that landed in the best and worst spots from a fantasy football point of view. So, how did your team do in the draft this year? Jeff Mans could not wait to do a recap from the 2025 NFL Draft so he is recording this episode immediately after its conclusion. Obviously the biggest story from the draft was the historic fall of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders who many thought would be a first-round pick and wound up being drafted in the fifth round. Mans dives deep into what was behind this freefall and whether it was talent, race, conspiracy or entitlement that was responsible for it. He also sounds off on a poor draft by the Chicago Bears who paid a huge premium for 50 or so receptions a year in Colston Loveland. Is Jacksonville going to ruin Travis Hunter by playing him at receiver? Did the Giants do the right thing in taking Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart? Jeff answers these questions and reviews where all the top QBs, RBs, WRs and TEs went in the draft and who he has his eye on already from a fantasy football standpoint. This is a special episode and the regular episode will be posted as usual late on Tuesday night. It is officially NFL Draft week, and Jeff Mans is like a kid in a candy store with all of the player profiles and analysis he is spilling this week. This is a very straightforward episode as Jeff Mans goes through all 32 first-round picks of the 2025 NFL Draft and does two simultaneous drafts. The first one is what he would do if he were in charge of each NFL team. The second mock draft is what most likely will be the picks on Thursday Night. For each team, Mans reviews what the most significant needs are, what history tells us about the presumptive pick, and which players fit the current offensive/defensive system best. He also discusses the fantasy football impact of each pick and how it will impact his rankings this season. It’s the best mock draft(s) that you will hear this year, so be sure to spend some time on this week’s show. This is a super-sized episode this week, everybody, so buckle up. Before Jeff Mans breaks down the 2025 NFL Draft, he discusses the ongoing saga at the University of Tennessee, where now former QB Nico Iamaleava held himself out of spring practices in order to leverage more NIL money out of the school. Despite the move backfiring on him (for now), Mans warns that this is the new norm in college sports and offers a much more reasonable solution. Did Colorado retire Shadeur Sanders and Travis Hunter’s jersey numbers too soon? Jeff thinks so and wonders why they are doing this now, before either has even been drafted. Then it is time to revisit the last five NFL Drafts (2020-2024) and see where the best players in the NFL right now were selected. Mans also looks at where some prominent first and second round picks are at now. As promised, this week he gives out his top 10 tight end prospects ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Jeff also tries to guess what each of the first 10 picks of the first round will be as it looks right now. This week’s episode is all business, and Jeff Mans dives right into his instant takeaways from the National Championship Game between Florida and Houton and his overall NCAA Tournament feelings. Jeff is having a tough time getting into baseball this season and wonders aloud if he is alone or if others are feeling this, too. Then he discusses his newest project: finding the greatest #1 overall picks in NFL Draft history. He explains why he only went back to 1980 for this exercise and reveals his formula for computing the best and worst draft picks. Mans reveals each ranking 1 through 45 with a few thoughts on each players stock at that time and how their careers wound up. As promised, Jeff reveals his WR prospect rankings this week, too, with an expanded breakdown of each of his top 15 receivers. Another robust podcast this week as Jeff Mans dissects the start of the 2025 MLB regular season, including his thoughts on the controversial “Torpedo Bats” that the Yankees are using to outslug the entire league. He also has some advice for anybody dealing with anxiety and/or stress, which includes an important message about knowing your own self-worth. He was reminded of this while spending time with family whom he hadn’t seen in a while this past week. Then he breaks down his top 10 running backs for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. There is one generational prospect at the top, but a lot of very productive backs who could make big impacts right away. Lastly, Mans answers some of the “Ask Mans Anything” questions that he didn’t get to last week, including how he came to own the site Fantasy Guru dot com. The 2025 MLB regular season is here, and Jeff Mans is putting it on tape with his very bold (some) and very boring (others) predictions for this baseball season. He picks every division winner, wild card teams, and this year's World Series winner. Jeff also recaps a boring but productive first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament that saw very few upsets, though he did squeak out some profits on his single-game parlays and first-half unders. Mans also reacts to two big free agent signings in the NFL as Russell Wilson has a new home in New York with the Giants while injured WR Stefon Diggs gets a hefty contract from the New England Patriots. This episode also starts his NFL Draft Prospect Rankings. This week, he gives out his top 15 quarterbacks leading into the 2025 NFL Draft, including which systems fit each prospect the best. Finally, he wraps up the show with some long overdue “Ask Mans Anything” questions that lead to the story of how Mans started out in the fantasy sports business. It’s one of if not the best sports weeks of the entire year, and Jeff Mans is covering it all. Despite feeling a little under the weather, Mans is toughing it out to break down every single game of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, giving out his favorite teams, players, upsets, trends, and bets for all of the madness. He even puts it on tape with his predictions for the Final Four and the 2025 NCAA Basketball National Champion. For those that stay until the end of this episode, he also gives out a GUARANTEED winning bet for the first round. Jeff also has thoughts on the second week of NFL Free Agency, including yet another Aaron Rodgers saga, the Vikings trade for Jordan Mason, Cooper Kupp’s deal with Seattle, and a few of the most underrated moves of the offseason so far. Then he gives out the best remaining free agents at each position and uncovers one position that NFL teams have not been rewarding this free agency cycle. Mans also discusses his newest fantasy baseball obsession, which is total base leagues that are quick, easy to follow, and fun to play. The 2025 NFL new league year has begun, and the free agency period got off to a roaring start. This week's episode is breaking down all of the moves that were made and some of the ones that weren’t over the first couple of days. He reminds everybody that we need to look beyond just the skill position players in order to find the moves that are going to provide the best results once the regular season starts. In that spirit, Mans counts down his top 10 best and worst moves of the first two days of free agency here, which includes all of the trades that were made as well. For those fantasy football players that are listening in, Jeff then counts down his top 10 fantasy winners and losers so far this offseason. You will not hear a deeper and more detailed breakdown of the NFL free agency period than right here this week. A brand new season begins this week on One Mans Opinion. Jeff Mans gives us a preview of all that is coming on the podcast this year, including an epiphany he had while on a “staycation” last week. He also discloses a very serious and scary situation that has been developing and was one of the reasons for the time off last week. Mans talks about the lack of interest in seasonal fantasy baseball this year while wondering if others share the same beliefs. Then he discusses the big stories around the NFL, including Deebo Samuel being traded to the Commanders, the Bears getting an offensive lineman, the Jets cleaning house, and the players who were and were not given the franchise tag this offseason. Jeff provides an updated list of the top 10 NFL free agents as we head into the new league year next week. Finally, he shares some of his NFL Scouting Combine notes, including the most impressive and disappointing performances. He closes the show with his current top 10 QBs for the 2025 NFL Draft, which includes a new #1 overall. Next up Mans previews the upcoming NFL free agency scene by giving out some of the biggest team needs and counting down his top 10 free agents to be. In honor of Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary, Mans talks about some of his all-time favorite sketches from the show and counts down his official rankings of the top 10 all-time cast members on SNL. Super Bowl 59 is in the books, and Jeff Mans has so many takeaways that it was hard to fit them all into a one-hour show this week. The ascending of Jalen Hurts, the premature demise of Patrick Mahomes, the hatred of Travis Kelce, the tolerance of Nick Siriani, and the power of influencers in the sports betting market are just some of the topics he hits today. Mans also has a strong message for all of those folks out there who are being told what to think because of their political affiliation. This show has a zero-tolerance policy for bias, and that point is emphasized this week. Jeff recaps his entire Super Bowl betting ledger and even uncovers a win that he forgot to tally up after the big game. The halftime show performance by Kendrick Lamar is also getting a lot of brushback, and Mans feels as though he knows exactly why that is the case. This episode will make your mouth laugh and your blood boil, so strap it down for another episode of One Mans Opinion. The great strategies Winston Churchill once said that the further backward you look, the further forward you can see. Who knew that the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom was talking about fantasy football when he said that? OK, maybe not, but the saying applies here, too, and Jeff Mans proves it in this week's Super Bowl preview episode. This week, Mans looks back on every Super Bowl team ever, breaking down the most common traits, the most common regular season records, and the most common individual player statistics among the winners and losers of the big game. Do you know how many 15+ win teams have made it to the Super Bowl? How about the most common record among the winners? What was the last team with a tie to make it to the final week of the season? Jeff Mans reveals all the answers and applies them to the Chiefs and Eagles this week. He also puts his official score prediction on tape and gives out three of his favorite bets for the Super Bowl. Mans even created his very own rating scale to uncover the top five and worst five Super Bowl teams of all time. This week, it is back to sports for Jeff Mans as he recaps an incredible weekend in the NFL with his AFC & NFC Championship Game takeaways. No, the NFL isn’t rigged, nor did the referees take a Super Bowl appearance away from Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Jeff breaks down how some bad calls did go against the Bills as it does with most Kansas City opponents but if the ball is in your hands with a chance to win it, there is nobody to blame but yourself. Mans discusses how NFL teams are misusing analytics, too, and how now taking the sure points might have been the reason the Bills are watching the Super Bowl from home this season. He also has thoughts on the new coaching hires in New England, Chicago, Dallas, New York Jets, Las Vegas, and Jacksonville and how these new staff members will impact fantasy football in 2025. Jeff does reveal how some depression has set in following his brother's death and offers some advice for anybody who might be going through similar events. My brother was a giant. Maybe not in stature, but in our family and to all who knew him, his kindness, warmth, and love meant everything. I have nor will I ever know a soul that had to endure more pain, ridicule, or harassment than my brother David. But for those who let him into our hearts, he was the kindest, most gentle ally we could ever want. I have been given many gifts in life, and I’ve never understood just why I was always so fortunate. As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to realize that much of what god has graced me with was some of what he took from my brother. As more time passed, I understood that most of my shortcomings were David’s strengths. We grew up together, we cared for each other, and we completed one another. I will miss him now forever. This episode is dedicated to the life and legacy of my brother, David Mans.

Jeff Mans is back and playoff-ready as the NFL season hits its high note. Jeff recalls his last couple of weeks with some holiday takeaways and his opinions on some of the hottest sports stories since the last episode. Between the fantasy football championships, the holidays, and family visiting from Chicago, it's been a very busy time, but he keeps it all in perspective as a new chapter begins. Mans gives out his official scorecard from the 2024 fantasy, DFS, and NFL betting season, providing how he finished in all of his leagues, his final profits and losses in DFS, and sports betting tallies. It wasn’t the season he was hoping for in terms of winnings, but as Jeff discusses, all profits and experiences are ultimately good ones. Then it is time to put his NFL playoff predictions on tape as Jeff projects each AFC & NFC matchup all of the way through Super Bown 59. There are still plenty of ways to continue the fantasy football journey into the playoffs, and Mans gives out a few of his favorite spots to play, including his very own free contest exclusive for radio show and podcast listeners. Finally, he gives out his favorite bets for the Super Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs to start building up that playoff bankroll. Do not worry. Jeff Mans does talk a whole lot about football in this episode, but he has some non-football things to get off of his mind first. This includes a reading from the famous Teddy Roosevelt speech “The Man In The Arena,” which motivated Jeff this week and throughout his life. He discusses the difference between having beliefs and tearing others down. Mans also goes to bat for anyone who has ever taken the “cash out” of a bet, relationship, or business deal with some stories from his own life that shows moderate gains can amount to a very profitable life. On the football side of things, Jeff recaps another Jets loss and the subsequent firing of the General Manager. The improvements that the Bears and Caleb Williams made this week. Then he tries to get to the bottom of why Saints “TE” Taysom Hill is the single most beloved player in NFL history. Seriously. As always, Mans gives out his top 15 waiver wire pickups for the week 12 “byemageddon” week, his survivor pick, and his Thursday Night Football Steelers Browns bet of the week. Try not to be turned on too much by Jeff Mans’ raspy voice this week, as a medical issue has him sounding more like Barry White than a geeky fantasy football guy. This week, Jeff is recapping NFL week 10 by breaking down the problems with the Jets, the return of Christian McCaffrey, and the Bears firing coaches already. Despite some DFS NFL cash game struggles this season, Mans had a revelation this week that spurs a much larger conversation about the state of each skill position in fantasy football this season. He goes on to break down the number of QB, RB, WR & TE that normally finish in the top 25, 50 & 100 of scoring and compares that to what is happening this year. The results are surprising but will help us make better decisions moving forward. Mans also gives out his top 10 waiver pickups for the week, which does NOT include a key player he’s had on this list in the last two weeks who had a breakout game in week 10. As always, he gives out his survivor pick of the week and gives out his Thursday Night Football bet for the Commanders and Eagles game in week 11. Jeff Mans is back for another HUGE episode as he gives out his first NFL power rankings of the 2024 season, mostly just to generate anger amongst the superfans out there. In this episode, Jeff dives into the very important daily fantasy football strategy of late swapping. Last week, Mans needed to make a miraculous late-day pivot in order to win in cash games. He provides some very easy-to-follow rules for late swapping and discusses how to properly align your DFS lineups. His first-ever ladder bet went amazingly well as Jeff Mans said with his chest that Juju Smith-Schuster would become the Chiefs' new Rashee Rice, and that was exactly what happened. Those weren’t the only profits either, as week five proved to be a massive betting week for Mans and the crew at Fantasy Guru dot com. Jeff recaps the week, including his thoughts on the Jets firing of Robert Saleh, the state of the Maimi Dolphins, Kareem Hunt’s breakout, and which wide receivers may be on the move. He also reveals which NFL team backfields have scored the most fantasy points so far this season, including the share of touches and points that have been going to which running back. Jeff Mans has already declared NFL week three as the best game strategizing he will have all season. This is due to a move he pulled in daily fantasy football where a recommended late swap secured victory for all using his cash game lineup advice this week. Jeff explains the game theory behind the move and why it can help all of us be better fantasy players in any format. He had takeaways from the Bears, Colts, Panthers, Bills, Seahawks, Packers, Bengals, and Raiders games last week. This leads to an important discussion about how our own personal fandom is often getting in the way of our fantasy, DFS, and betting success. Mans gives a breakdown of how to put your own success ahead of your favorite teams while still supporting the team here. Then Jeff goes over the fantasy point-scoring leaders at QB, RB, WR & TE and declares “fact” or “fiction” for each of the current leaders. As always, he has the top 10 waiver wire pickups of the week. Then, in a rarity, Mans gives out a prop bet parlay for Thursday Night Football between the Cowboys and Giants, something he rarely does this early in the week. The first order of business this week is to cover all of the NFL players who were cut, placed on PUP, and/or put on injured reserve this week. There are a lot of players that have gained and lost value as a result, and Jeff Mans breaks down each one line by line to make sure we are covered. Mans also dives into the updated ADP across fantasy football and goes round by round, selecting his favorite players and backup options. Draft season is entirely upon us, and Jeff Mans is here to make it go as smoothly as possible. The first order of business this week is addressing the ongoing holdouts of superstar wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Ja’Marr Chase. Is it time to drop these two premium players in our rankings? Mans answers that question directly and questions whether lowering any player “a few spots” actually matters. Then, it is time to discuss some of the players that are moving up in his rankings as a result of a strong training camp, preseason showing, or matter of circumstance. One player has shown so well that he expanded the entire top tier of his position group, according to Jeff’s latest rankings on Fantasy Guru dot com. After that, it is time to tackle the late rounds (round 10+, 120+ overall), and Mans gives out 10 players that he is targeting here with in-depth reasons for each. Finally, he has another 10 players who are only being drafted in the deepest of leagues, which we need to keep our eyes on, including two receivers who will likely be the #2 on their teams early in the season. Mans also gives out some NFL preseason week one takeaways, injury updates, and his thoughts on the never-ending Brandon Aiyuk trade rumors. Jeff Mans opens up this week’s episode on a heater as he is fired up about NFL team superfans always thinking they must defend their team against truth and honesty. Mans speculates on why this kind of attitude is leading to such watered-down sports coverage. Then it is time to go around the NFL and discuss some of the news around training camps including injuries to a rookie wide receiver and a veteran QB. Jeff also offers his opinion on the new contracts given to QBs like Tua Tagovailoa, Trevor Lawrence, and Jordan Love this offseason and how NFL teams are seriously mismanaging their payroll. Finally, Mans goes through all 16 AFC teams from a coaching and scheme point of view to offer the players he is investing in and fading in 2024. There is so much you can learn by studying the coaching styles, personnel groupings, pace of play, play call tendencies, and play design of NFL head coaches and coordinators. This takes a lot of time and effort to break down, and fortunately, there is one man who does it all for us, and that is Jeff Mans. This week, Mans takes out his notes for all 16 NFC teams and breaks them down from a real-life and fantasy point of view. He fully intended to do all 32 NFL teams this week, but there is SO MUCH information that he was only able to get to half of them in this episode. This is the kind of information that others in your league will not have and thus will give you a massive advantage over the competition. It's a huge episode this week, and Jeff Mans tackles several very important topics. First off, Mans gives a breakdown of his first few picks of the Scott Fish Bowl 14 league draft, including a pair of really tough decisions between premium players on the round 1-2 turn. That decision actually leads to a bigger conversation regarding Jets QB Aaron Rodgers and his tendency to throw super short TD passes. This inspired Mans to do a research project on all 32 NFL starting QBs and their average depth per TD pass. These results were pretty surprising and helped us make decisions regarding some elite-caliber wide receivers this season. Then Jeff reveals his 2024 fantasy football rankings by position and in tiers of where they should be targeted in our drafts. Mans also gives us a preview of his 2024 NFL coaching breakdowns that are live on Fantasy Guru dot com this week and offers some players to keep our eyes on this summer. Jeff Mans is back, and as promised, he delivers an extended episode this week all about his surprise NFL team of the 2024 season. After a quick recap of his vacation that included trips to Dodgers Stadium and PetCo Park in southern California, he dives right into the criteria for this year's surprise team. First, he lists teams that were under consideration for this year's title, including a couple of obvious choices and a pair of teams that were just a step behind. Mans then reviews his track record of the last four teams he has profiled in this space and discusses how each of them improved from the year before, and two even made extended playoff runs. This episode is full of data points that will surprise and even amaze the majority of listeners, as nobody seems to have noticed just how good this NFL team was last year, nor the additions they have made. As always, Jeff goes from the top of the organization all of the way down and even projects all 17 regular season games in order to stamp his endorsement. If you are wondering how you should attack the 2024 NFL season, his advice is really simple: Be The Bears.

It’s a very emotional episode of One Mans Opinion this week as Jeff Mans opens up about some of his recent health issues, including a trip to the hospital over the weekend with less-than-ideal results. But there is plenty of positive news in this one, too, as Jeff forges a new best ball fantasy football partnership where everybody can draft a best ball team for a shot at the $500,000 top prize and a total prize pool of $2.5 million. Mans also dives into his latest research project, which is the top 100 fantasy football point scorers since the year 2000. He breaks down the list by player, team, position, and year in order to sort out how and where these huge breakout seasons come from. He also has some data concerning the first-round picks over the last 10 years, what percentage of them have hit, and what percentage went bust. The numbers will surprise you. Jeff also reacts to Aaron Rodgers ditching his Jets teammates at minicamp, Darren Waller’s retirement, and some notable wide receiver holdouts that are happening under our very noses. It is officially Draft Guide season over at Fantasy Guru dot com, and this episode is painted with the 2024 fantasy football landscape. Before he dives into the early trends of 2024, though, Mans is fired up over the copious amounts of fake news that is fooling people on social media. From Harrison Butker's jersey sales to Caleb Williams being benched in practice, the rumors are starting to win, and that is really troubling. Jeff announces some of the new and improved features for the 2024 Fantasy Football Draft Guide at Fantasy Guru dot com this year and discusses some of the trends that are behind this new content. He also illustrates how the current ADP and historical results of point scorers do not add up. For example, there are currently 30 wide receivers being drafted in the top 50 of overall picks in fantasy football. But there have never been more than 20 receivers to score in the top 50 of points ever. So, Mans tells us how to sharpen those positional swords before we are drafting dead this year. He also goes over his entire scorecard of 2024 Bold Predictions, which is a part of the Draft Guide. Jeff discusses why he decided on his surprise teams, players, targets and busts to finish off this episode. Remember to like, favorite, comment, and subscribe!!

He gives out some of his favorite week 18 ideas to implement into your fantasy football leagues and makes the case for more leagues to play the entire regular season. Bob Harris joins Jeff Mans on this week’s podcast to discuss how he got started in fantasy football. It wasn’t an easy road. He was living with his grandmother at 38 to try and make this work. No one really believed in him and he started becoming that crazy guy with deluded dreams. Bob believes the reason why this all worked out for him was that he was just too stupid to quit. Jeff Mans has Ray Flowers on the show to give his insight on how cut-throat this business can really be. Ray’s been in this business full-time for 19 years and knows that getting started and getting serious with fantasy sports is tough when you have a full-time job or other things on your plate. A lot of fantasy sports companies are closing down right now or doing massive layoffs and that’s because they’re just hobbyists who never took this seriously in the first place. If you want good guys to bleed with you when you lose and celebrate with you when you win, then you gotta look for the real guys that are 100% committed to this like Jeff and Ray. Key Takeaways: [2:15] Jeff is itching for a sports fix and it seems ESPN and all those guys don’t even know what they’re even doing. [4:50] Sports is an escape for everyone and even if there is nothing on, it’s not going to stop Jeff and Ray from talking about it. [10:30] This is Ray’s 19th year doing this full-time. Everyone is shutting their doors because they’re hobbyists that don’t take this seriously. [14:00] When did Ray first learn about fantasy sports? [17:00] When did Ray realize he could actually make a living in this industry? [22:25] Ray’s first full-time job in this industry, he made $28,800 a year. [26:15] People shouldn’t be jealous or want to punish the business owner for taking on the risk and being successful. America needs businesses and the people who create them. [27:00] One of the worst things to happen to this industry was the way it got started. [33:00] A lot of fantasy companies are shutting down because of this virus thing. [40:05] People will pay for good work. [42:10] What sets Elite Fantasy and Fantasy Guru apart from all the others is the dedication to delivering good and valuable content to the users. [45:55] The most important people are your followers and your fans. Take care of those people. [53:00] There are people in this industry that will shield their picks from paying customers. What kind of logic is that! [53:55] Jeff and Ray’s job is to make you win. That’s their job! [57:00] People give Jeff’s wife crap because she’s a stay-at-home-mom now, but they don’t see the part when she was with Jeff when he wasn’t a provider and making zero money. In a partnership, you help each other and you make sacrifices. [1:09:50] How did Jeff first meet Ray? [1:19:00] Why did Ray decide to take the leap and work with Jeff? [1:24:20] Like this podcast? In an emotional unveiling, Jeff Mans discusses for the first time publicly the story of his Father who grew up as an Illinois Farmer, went to war for his country, battled depression, alcoholism and cancer in what became a most inspiring life story. It’s a story of family, a story of courage and a story of life. If you want to understand Mans, hear the true story of what inspires him. Jeff’s old man is his hero, but it took a long time for him to be that way. Jeff was the youngest of five children and everybody hated his dad. Jeff’s dad was an alcoholic, had no relationship with his wife, and was abusive to Jeff’s disabled brother. His dad was a Korean War vet, but he turned a corner when he had cancer in 1991 and he repaired the relationship he had with his wife, his kids, and his siblings. For that, Jeff is very grateful for being able to see the man he truly was. Key Takeaways: [3:10] Despite being in quarantine, Jeff is still working full time. [5:20] You guys have been asking Jeff a lot about his youth. [5:45] What motivates Jeff? His old man. [12:30] A little bit of back story about Jeff’s dad. [15:00] Jeff’s old man and his siblings grew up so poor that they didn’t even celebrate Christmas or birthdays (and neither did Jeff). [16:55] His dad served in the Korean war and he had some gruesome stories to share with Jeff. [20:00] It was obvious Jeff was a mistake. Jeff’s youngest sister is 13 years older than him. [23:00] His old man’s alcoholism was so bad and he was abusive when Jeff was growing up. [24:00] Jeff’s dad is still his hero. [28:30] Jeff was becoming a bad kid before his older brother moved his family away from all of that. Crime gangs were recruiting kids as young as 11 years old. [29:25] Jeff had no relationship with his dad. [34:25] Everything changed in 1991 when his dad got diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. [38:55] It changed the man completely. He became Jeff’s best friend. [43:05] The whole family was bonding again and his dad was able to tell happier memories of his childhood. [43:15] Then the cancer came back. [46:55] His dad always told him to pursue a career or a job that made him happy. Do something you want to do, not because you have to. [50:40] His dad became an alcoholic because he never could give his parents and his family a good life. [55:15] Jeff's dad died on November 4th, 1999. [1:00:30] When he passed, there was a line trying to get into the funeral home. [1:03:10] We all die, but our legacy will live on. [1:07:20] Jeff still writes letters to his dad. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Jeff starts out with a story from his childhood growing up with Irish immigrant Parents and Grandparents. A fire is lit as Mans takes on the social media trolls who like to claim that isolated posts “didn’t age well” and are simply looking to discredit people for out of context posts. There is also a full recap of NFL Free Agency day two including Tom Brady’s announcement that he is leaving New England. Twitter has been blowing up Jeff’s feed telling him some of his tweets don’t age well because he made some bad picks. So what? Jeff comments on every single player, every single sports league, and every single team. You think he’s got a crystal ball and will predict everything with 100% accuracy? Jeff doesn’t delete his tweets and he doesn’t care if he gets it wrong from time to time. Now with that being said, let’s take a look at the latest NFL Free Agency picks. Who is going to replace him? [32:05] Watch out for Nyheim Hines. Good things are coming his way from a fantasy standpoint. [32:50] Bryan Bulaga for the LA Chargers is a great move. [35:55] Minnesota Vikings are playing Russian roulette with Adam Thielen. [36:20] Buffalo Bills let a lot of key players slip through their hands. [39:45] Tennessee Titans got Vic Beasley. I’m not running from crap.” “They’re going to find out who you are, so you’re better off being honest and upfront always. That way you’re never going to be exposed.”
