Romanian David Popovici placed 4th in the 200 Free and 7th in the 100 Free at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He holds the World Junior Record in the 100 Free (47.30) and is 2nd behind Sun-woo Hwang in the 200 Freestyle with a 1:44.68. Popovici was just recently drafted by the New York Breakers of the International Swimming League (ISL). He discusses his decision on swimming in the NCAA vs. the ISL.
