On this week's episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we are talking to Wycombe District swimmer, Adam Barrett. Having represented his country with distinction, including winning Gold Medals at the 2014 European Championships and Commonwealth Games, Adam Barrett is the British record-holder in the 100m Butterfly (Short Course). He retired from elite swimming in 2017, only to embark on one of the more inspiring returns to the top tier of swimming that included a Master's World Record along the way. He completed his return to the elite level of the sport in 2021 after being selected to swim for Energy Standard in ISL, and will be representing England at this summer's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham We speak to Adam about how flexible he's had to be in his training while returning to elite swimming, his tips for training during public swim sessions and his expectations this summer.
