Free Agent Friday: The top Defenseman the Dallas Stars should be in on this summer!

It's Free Agent Friday on Locked On Stars! Joey begins the first Free Agent Friday of the offseason by looking at the top available Defensemen in the NHL this summer. Defense should be a top priority for the Stars this summer and if Chris Tanev does not resign with the Stars, Dallas will have to find a way to replenish their core with the hopes of getting over the hump next season. In the first segment, we do a dive on right shot Dylan Demelo who played for the Winnipeg Jets this last season. Demelo is younger and plays a very similar style to Tanev that could be a nice replacement if need be. In the second segment, we take a look at two options under the age of 30 years old. The golden child for Joey this summer would be Brett Pesce of the Carolina Hurricanes, the other possibility is an undersized Alexandre Carrier who grades out as the best defender for the Nashville Predators this season.
