Some days I feel like I nailed it and other days feel like a failure. However, my journey toward minimalism has had some wonderful overlap when it comes to the rest of my life - outside of the stuff in my home. It has helped me become more intentional and that includes how I spend my time and the relationships I have. Of course the most important relationships in my life are those with my partner and that with my daughter. Since, there is always much to learn in this life, I brought in an expert when it comes to the parent/child relationships we have. Dr. Sarah Bren is a licensed clinical psychologist and mom of two, whose passion is helping parents find their inner confidence and raise healthy, resilient kids. She is the host of the podcast Securely Attached , and the creator of the website drsarahbren.com where she offers resources such as guides, workshops, and digital courses. She is the co-founder and clinical director of Upshur Bren Psychology Group in Pelham, NY where she treats parents, children and families. Sarah has such a calming presence and you call tell she practices what she preaches. It was a fun conversation and I learned more about attachment parenting, gained confidence in some of the techniques I have been using in my own life, and found encouragement for the developmental stages that are awaiting me as my daughter grows up and matures.
