Solveig Barrios, the founder of The Mayan Wisdom Project comes from a family line of deep spiritual leaders. Most influenced by her father the renowned Maya Elder Carlos Barrios, who wrote books and traveled the world spreading his vast knowledge about Mayan wisdom. She began to learn about the Maya Geo-Cosmovision at a very early age and is currently on the path to becoming an Ajq’ij (Mayan spiritual leader) with the guidance that was left to her by her family, plus the incredible knowledge of her great teachers who are spiritual leaders from indigenous communities in Guatemala.
