His latest book is "The Coffeehouse Investor's Ground Rules: Save, Invest, and Plan for a Life of Wealth and Happiness." His first book, published in 1998 and updated several times thereafter, is "The Coffeehouse Investor: How to Build Wealth, Ignore Wall Street, and Get On With Your Life." When he is not writing books, He is a financial advisor with Soundmark Wealth Management, a firm he co-founded in 2008. He received his bachelor's degree in business at Texas A&M University.
