PHILLIES POSTCAST: Phillies pitching issues 9 WALKS as they fall to Padres, 6-4

The Philadelphia Phillies fell to the San Diego Padres in GAME ONE of their Split Doubleheader, 6-4. This one felt OVER before it began as Phillies' starter Mick Abel allowed five runs in the 2nd inning walked four in the frame including two with the bases loaded. Then he allowed a bases clearing double to Manny Machado. Abel was done after that. In total he lasted just 1.2 innings allowing five runs on two hits and five walks. Kyle Schwarber plated the Phillies' first run of the game in the 6th inning with his 26th homer of the season. Then the Phillies scored two more in the 7th. Edmundo Sosa brought J.T. Realmuto home with a triple then scored on a passed ball. Then in the 9th, Brandon Marsh singled home J.T. Realmuto. Trea Turner followed by putting Marsh on 3rd with a single. Marsh was originally ruled out, but the call was overturned when replay showed Manny Machado never made the tag.
