Phillies beat the Reds, 5-1 thanks to another solid start from Ranger Suarez and three homers by the Phils' offense! Ranger Suarez was done after just five innings of work allowing just one run on a solo homer by Will Benson in the 5th. Suarez surrendered 5 hits and issued two walks while striking out six. He threw 80 pitches in the outing. After the game Rob Thomson said Suarez was on an 85 pitch limit today, that's why he was pulled early. Despite the solid start, Suarez streak of quality starts was snapped at 10-straight games. He was just the 9th Phillies pitcher to do that since 1901. All five of the Phillies runs came by way of the long ball! Edmundo Sosa got the offense going in the 5th inning with a solo homer that tied the game at one and took Suarez off the hook. Then In the 6th, Alec Bohm put the Phillies in front with a two-run homer to center.
