Detroit Tigers beat Cleveland Guardians in winner-take-all Game 3 of the American League Wild Card Series at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Dillon Dingler broke a 1-1 tie in the 6th with a solo home run. Javier Baez started a rally for the Detroit Tigers in the top of the 7th that saw Detroit Tigers score 5 runs to take a 6-1 lead. Wenceel Perez had a huge two-run single, followed by an RBI single by Spencer Torkelson and Riley Greene added the exclamation point with an RBI single. Jack Flaherty started the game on the mound for the Detroit Tigers and went 4.2 innings allowing just one earned run. Detroit Tigers bullpen took it the rest of the way throwing 4.1 innings allowing 2 unearned runs in the 8th, but still able to preserve the win for the Detroit Tigers.
