The Tigers got off to a blazing start, scoring six runs in the first inning, highlighted by Riley Greene's solo home run and Trey Sweeney's three-run homer. Kerry Carpenter had a standout performance, going 4-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Casey Mize started on the mound for Detroit, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing four runs while striking out seven. The bullpen held strong, with Tyler Holton, Will Vest, and Jason Foley combining for 4 innings of scoreless relief, with Foley earning the save. The Rockies made a push in the fifth inning scoring three runs, but it wasn't enough to overcome the early deficit. With this win, the Tigers improve to 74-71 on the season.
