Vocation originally meant a person's calling from God upon their life. The new culturally embraced Webster's dictionary definition of vocation is "a strong feeling of suitability for a particular career or occupation." This distortion is commonplace amidst our culture as we run further and further away from what God would have for us and just embrace our feelings.
