Shana has been in the nutrition world for 20 years. Her first job was in weight management, and the go-to strategy was calorie restriction. Shana's clients would be very successful in the first 3-4 months of that regimen, but then eventually regain all their weight. At the time, Shana simply did not understand that it was an issue of insulin. In 2016, Shana's son had been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. She researched nutrition and natural therapies and found a natural health clinic that helped her son. She loved their approach and got a job as one of their clinicians. Knowing Shana had a background in weight management, the clinic owner asked her to create a weight loss plan. This was how Shana found intermittent fasting. She discovered The Obesity Code, and listened to Dr. Fung's podcasts. Shana also read Delay, Don't Deny, and listened to the IF Stories podcast. It was thrilling for Shana to finally understand why her clients always struggled to keep the weight off! Once she changed her approach, all 18 participants in her weight loss program had incredible results using IF.
