They started dieting together, beginning in high school, and tried countless plans over the years. In May of 2019, Cherie decided to pray and fast once a week for a relative. A month later, she had lost weight, and knew there was something to fasting. She shared this with Shannon, and after some research, she found the IF Stories podcast. They both began IF in June of 2019. Two years later, Shannon has lost 60 pounds, going from 220 pounds to 150 pounds. Cherie has lost 30 pounds, going from 170 pounds to 130 pounds.
