In 2015, Paul reached his highest weight of 350 pounds, and he knew it was time to do something about it. He decided to walk more and watched what he ate. He lost 80 pounds, but gained it all back by 2018. He then stumbled upon intermittent fasting through a podcast with Dr. Jason Fung. Paul tried IF for a week, but gave up. As the pandemic hit in March of 2020, Paul bought a stationary bike and began to do long rides. He was able to lose 40 pounds, which gave him the motivation to keep going for more. In August of 2020, Paul found The Intermittent Fasting Podcast, and with new resolve, began IF again. With IF, Paul lost another 50 pounds. He went from 280 to his current weight of 230. His health has also improved: his blood pressure has normalized, he has fewer aches and pains, and his eczema is gone.
