Like me, so many of us fall into the pattern of this trauma-responsive people pleasing behavior in order to keep ourselves from further trauma. Unfortunately, without awareness, this fawning response is stealing our self-worth, and requiring us to repress many emotions. As we know from doing this work, when we repress emotions for years without knowing what's going on in the unconscious, this often leads to chronic pain, symptoms, syndromes, conditions and diagnoses of all kinds.
