The Lakers finally made their long-awaited return to the basketball court on Sunday afternoon in their preseason opener against the Brooklyn Nets. While the players who did not play -- LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Kevin Durant -- were far more notable than the ones that did, the excitement was still all the same in the purple and gold's return to action after exactly four months off over the summer.
