Professor Linvill is a academic, an author, a researcher and an expert on social media disinformation and political discourse. As an Associate Professor in Clemson's Department of Communications, his research explores state sponsored social media disinformation and its influence on civil and political discourse. In addition to his academic publications, Dr. Linvill has written for The Washington Post and Rolling Stone .
