Wai Ting and Jordan Goodman are back with this month's edition of The Wellness Policy as they investigate the importance of play in our everyday lives through discussion of the book, “ Play: How it Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul ” by Stuart Brown, M.D. They explore the evolutionary purpose of play in animals, how play evolves over the lifespan, why we tend to lose our sense of play as we age, the benefits of incorporating a play-state in work and life, and suggestions on how to become more playful.
