You may know that within three days in 2021, Scott Boland became the second Aboriginal man to play Test cricket for Australia, and then the first Australian to win the Johnny Mullagh medal, awarded to the best player in the Boxing Day Test and named after the great Aboriginal cricketer who toured England in 1868. You may not know the story of Unaaramin, the man who became known as Johnny Mullagh, or the story of how the medal reached the MCG in 2021.
