Finding Purpose In Prison: Healthier Body and Mind | Alana Moor

One mistake would change Alana Moor's life forever. She was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison in a foreign country that was thousands of miles from her home and everyone she knew and loved. Although isolated and stripped of her freedom, it was there that Alana began to find a healthier path forward. The food in the Panamanian prison system would routinely cause her to fall ill. On a few occasions it even required a trip to the hospital. Alana's journey to healing began with her pushing for healthier food options and leading daily exercise classes for other inmates. Through that she found self-empowerment and a sense of worth that had been lacking. And today she is working with one of the largest plant-based event companies in Canada while continuing to champion healthier options for those who remain incarcerated.
