May's jobs report exceeded expectations, with the economy adding 139,000 jobs, many of which were in the healthcare, leisure, and hospitality industries. While the White House and Wall Street were pleased with these numbers, data from last month showed signs of slowing job growth, possibly indicating that employers are still navigating uncertainties related to tariffs, tax policy, and other factors.
