Business Rundown: U.S. Government Takes 10 Percent Stake In Chipmaker Intel

Last Friday, President Trump announced a deal that would see the U.S. government take 10 percent equity in the chipmaker, Intel. Under the terms of the deal, the government will use nearly 9 billion dollars in federal grant money from the 2022 CHIPS Act to purchase this stake in the company.
