(3/9/23) Two days of Fed testimony from Chairman Jerome Powell have failed to dissuade bullish sentiment on Wall Street: The Fed's plan to raise unemployment to slow the economy has in the past always led to a recession. But Bulls are hoping, maybe, this time will be different. Technically, the 100_DM is moving above the 200-DMA, firming up support within the market. Stocks continue to do well, regardless of the spectre of higher interest rates. Meanwhile, the Fed still looks for lower prices in order to tighten financial conditions and bring down inflation in the economy. Employment numbers this week will be the key to watch.
