(1/25/24) Markets are continuing to rally in a buying stampede that is extremely long in the tooth, actually surpassing the duration of last summer's buying frenzy. Valuations, at this point, don't matter; it's all about momentum. Markets are back on a Buy Signal, despite markets' very over bought condition. Money flows are continuing to support this action in a trend that cannot be denied or fought back. Realize, however, that nothing lasts forever, and that all of this will eventually end. A correction of some type will occur, and it will be a normal course in the cycle of markets. Remember, too, that even a 10% correction in a given year is normal. However, a 10% correction at this level would wipe out most of the gains that have been gotten since last October. Markets cannot maintain over bought conditions indefinitely. This might be a good time to assess your portfolio and trim back to target weights.
