Markets continue to do well, clearly breaking out to new highs, but are now becoming somewhat overbought. At this point, a bit of a correction/consolidation would be no surprise. But...while the S&P is breaking out, the NASDAQ is just challenging all time highs, not quite making its own break out. Money flows are fine, however. The equal-weighted index is also lagging the S&P, and it appears we're where we were last year with weighted indexes driving markets (those equal-weighted indexes have less of the Mag-7 in them). The performance gap between the two indexes is about 10%. The same dynamic exists for the IWM/Russell 2000, with a big cap between that index and large cap stocks. While International stocks have enjoyed a huge surge since the beginning of the year, they are still way off their previous highs in October 2024. And the same applies for Emerging Markets. While there are opportunities, be careful of the narratives.
