Markets are still holding on to levels, and will this morning take out resistance at the 50-DMA. If Apple and Amazon turn in positive quarterly report tonight, markets will have the lift to push upwards towards 5700, where they run into the 200- and 100-DMA's. Markets have enjoyed advances for 7-days in a row (yesterday we added to our short positions as a hedge for downside risk, as this is a lengthy stretch for markets). Expectations are for a rally today and possibly tomorrow, but eventually will see a pullback. When the pullback comes, the previous bottoms will act as support. Markets are getting over bought, so expect some corrective action eventually. With the market rally, investors start looking for sources of liquidity, and Gold is where a lot of money has been hiding during the tariff terror corrective period. Gold has triggered a MACD sell signal from a very elevated level. There is now downside risk to Gold, and we expect a dip to about $3,080, which would be a good re-entry point. (The 50-DMA has been a good level of support for Gold historically.) Meanwhile, Oil has become very appetizing for buyers, and we're thinking somewhere in the mid-50's will be a decent entry point for Oil.
