Will Market Correction Be a Buying Opportunity? (2/8/23)

(2/8/23) Technical signals are turning more bullish AND very over bought. We expect a short term correction, which can be used as a buying opportunity. Signals are now suggesting the market bottom is IN, and prices are going to start working their way higher over the next couple of years. We use the Weekly MACD indicator, which historically has been very good for moving money in and out of markets. last year's markets were extremely deviated from the 200-week long term moving averages. That deviation has been correcting and moving back towards previous highs. Tough to believe with the Fed continue to hike rates, the economy supposedly in recession, and earnings are slowing down; just remember that on a weekly basis markets are pricing-in a lot of this action already, and what we're being told now is that markets are improving, and for now, at least, are in a longer-term bullish trend. That doesn't mean, however, that things couldn't change.
