Will Jerome Powell Smack-down Investors Once Again? (1/10/23)

(1/10/23) Fed Chairman Jerome Powell delivers another oracle this afternoon in which bullish investors are hoping will containt hints of a shift in Fed policy on interest rates, and the hikes thereof. The Fed's reality is a conitnuing fight on inflation and liquidity until it is unmistakeable that inflation rates are trending back down towards the 2% realm. Market futures this morning are pointing lower in anticipation of Powell's comments. NOTE: Emerging Markets are on a very high buy signal, but care should be taken as emerging markets are getting ahead of themselves. Small- and Mid-cap stocks are also performing better, but these companies tend to do worse in recessionary times, and slower economies impact their earnings much more quickly.
