(6/15/23) The FOMC Meeting ended with a tentative pause in its rate hike strategies, hinting that there could be more rate hikes in the future. Markets initially responded negatively, but actually closed the day just a little higher than break-even. Markets are very deviated from the 200-DMA, and we're expecting to possibly see the beginnings of some corrective action as soon as today. The first level will be back to the 20-DMA to about 4,230. The 50-DMA will be the second target at 4,116, and below that is the 100-DMA. We're not expecting much of a decline below 4,000 for now. But any correction back towards the 50-DMA will be an opportunity to increase exposure in your portfolios. Watch for money flows into previously out-of-favor stocks when this corrective process occurs.
