Markets have had a zero rate of return; why is this important? If your financial plan calls for 6% growth annually, with zero gains over two years, you're 12% behind your goals. Only a handful of stocks have driven markets this year. Now, with a very overbought market, now at levels associated with short-term peaks, any trigger for selling could generate a substantial reaction. A pullback to 4,300 would not be surprising.
