(12/14/21) Market trading could get sloppy with the Fed on deck tomorrow to talk about monetary tapering...and options expirations on Friday spurring traders to reposition. The 20-DMA is just below where markets are sitting. Bollinger Bands are not too far above current highs. Markets are oversold, so working that off could set up for a rally into the year's end. Interestingly, while the major markets have been holding onto all-time highs, in the cryptospace, that's not been the case. Bitcoin is down two standard deviations below its 50-DMA, and is very oversold. Money flows do suggest there could be a bit of a rally in Bitcoin into the end of the year, but that tends to be a risk-on, risk-off asset, so when markets rally, Bitcoin goes along for the ride. ARKK Fund has been under pressure this year--now down about 20%, while the top ten stocks in the market have been up substantially...and example of how those stocks are not necessarily representative of the whole of the market.
