Markets Really Don't Care About Economic Reports (2/5/24)

(2/5/24) Markets really don't care about the internals of economic reports; at least not as much as you might expect. Markets aren't doing the analysis. Markets see the headline data and move on, which is why they continue to do well, despite the scary data that's emerging... Certainly better than what's being felt by "the man on the street." As investors, then, we have to look at what the data is, and assume how the markets are going to interpret it. And for now, markets remain very bullish, despite last week's selloff.
